Chandler school board

Chandler Board of Education members this week hired several new personnel, re-employed professional staff and temporary certified staff and accepted the resignations of a couple of others.

School Supt. Scott Baade said the board members hired the following new personnel: Marila Contway, Special Education teacher; Kallie Jo Petrie, Secondary teacher and coach; Katelyn Miller, Early Childhood Education teacher; Lisa Herring, school counselor; Amanda Brown and Jackelyn Young, Pre-K teachers; Katherine Barrett, paraprofessional; Frances Palmer,full-timebusdriver;DelorisKliewer,StacyWesley and Debra Hayes, cafeteria staff workers.

The board accepted the resignations ofAngela Gonzales, Special Education teacher and Mason Baade, Secondary math teacher.

Board members adopted a resolution for Schools and Libraries Universal Services (E-Rate) for 2023-2024. It also authorizes filling out applications for funding year 2023-2024 and payment of the applicant’s share upon approval of funding and receipt of services.

They also approved the updated “Return to Learn 2.0 Plan” for the 2023-2024 school year.

Board members also: Approved membership with the Oklahoma State School Boards Association for Fiscal Year 2023-2024.

Approved the Comprehensive Employment Service Agreement provided by OSSBA (formerly known as OPSUCA) for FY 2023-2024.

Approved the policy services renewal with the OSSBA for FY 2023-2024.

Approved the East Central Oklahoma On-Line Consortium between Gordon Cooper Technology Center and Chandler Public Schools for the 2023-2024 school year.

Agreed to a contract with the Department of Rehabilitative Services for the 2023-2024 school year.

Approved a contract with Shelley Haley as website coordinator for FY 2023-2024.
