Huff charged with second degree burglary
Ryan Dale Huff, 36, of Prague was charged with possession of a firearm after conviction or during probation, burglary in the second degree, malicious injury to property and knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property.
According to the affidavit filed by Lincoln County Sheriff Deputy Larry Stover, Sergeant Tony Long responded to Tri County Storage in Prague regarding a burglary on Feb. 27.
Business Owner Bonita Anderson said someone entered her business, stole property and ransacked the place, according to the affidavit.
A few hours later, Anderson called stating she received information from a concerned citizen who saw some of Anderson’s stolen property including business files, a revolver and laptops in Huff’s garage, according to the affidavit.
Stover went to the residence and asked Ryan about the stolen property in his garage, which Ryan said he had the speakers, according to the affidavit.
With consent to search, Stover found a Notary stamp with the name Bonnie Anderson on it.
In the garage a home stereo and stolen pistol were found, according to the affidavit.
Huff was booked into the Lincoln County Jail but he filed his $2,500 bond and was scheduled to be back in court for his reappearance Mar. 26 at 1:30 p.m. A bench warrant was issued for Huff on Mar. 26.
A condition of his bond was to report to Gateway for drug and alcohol treatment.
Means charged with possession of a firearm
Jeffrey Allan Means, 58, of Harrah was charged with three counts of possession of firearm after former felony conviction and possessing a motor vehicle with altered vin.
According to the affidavit filed by Lincoln County Sheriff Detective Larry Stover, Stover and Detective Chuck Brewster, along with other law enforcement agents, served a search warrant in Prague at Jeffrey Mean’s house in search of stolen property and firearms.
When the officers knocked and announced the search warrant was being served, no one responded so they made entry, according to the affidavit.
Once inside, they found a Davis Industries .22 caliber derringer, a Young America .22 caliber short revolver and a Lorcin .25 caliber semiautomatic, according to the affidavit.
Jeffrey had been charged with a felony in South Carolina back in 1993, according to the charges.
Officers also found Harley Davidson motors with the vin numbers ground off, according to the affidavit.
Jeffrey filed his $5,000 bond and is scheduled to be back in court May 19 at 9:30 a.m. for his initial appearance.
Pyatt Jr. charged with possession
Norman Eugene Pyatt Jr., 44, of Prague was charged with possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony and the cultivation of controlled substance.
According to the affidavit filed by Prague Police officer Jason Spearman, Spearman and the Prague Police Department went to Pyatt Jr.’s house to serve a search warrant.
According to the affidavit, they found SKS semi automatic rifle, a Remington 870 pump action shotgun, a FIE single shot shotgun, a semi automatic shotgun, a Ruger New Army Cap and Ball revolver, a Pittie Cap and Ball revolver, a Tuarus Millennium G2 semiautomatic pistol, and a variety of ammunition.
Officers also found 14 marijuana plants and marijuana seeds, according to the affidavit.
Pyatt Jr. had his initial appearance Mar. 2 and is scheduled to be back in court June 1 at 1 p.m. for his reappearance.
Dwiggins charged with assault and battery
Christopher Alexander Dwiggins, 26, of Wellston was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
According to the affidavit filed by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Officer Jimmy Brown, Trent Given called saying his brother, Dwiggins, was attacked by his brother’s girlfriend, Ashley Fralick.
Upon his arrival, Brown talked with Dwiggins and Given who told him Fralick becomes combative every time she drinks and that the fight started because she thinks Dwiggins doesn’t love her enough, according to the affidavit.
When Brown went to talk to Fralick, she was sitting on a couch on the dark living room, Fralick told him she didn’t remember what happened and that she had been drinking.
According to the affidavit, Fralick turned her head away and Brown noticed her forehead was protruding and there was blood her head.
“I turned on my flashlight and I saw her head was severely swollen with a large abrasion and I noticed her right eye was bruised and her left side of her upper lip was swollen,” Brown said in the affidavit.
Brown went outside to talk with Dwiggins who said he stated Fralick fell down a lot and he wasn’t sure what happened, according to the affidavit.
Dwiggins admitted to punching Fralick to get her off him. Deputy Roe pointed out a square blade shovel that appeared to have dried blood on it, according to the affidavit.
“The abrasion on Ashley’s head to me matches the shape of the shovel,” Brown said in the affidavit.
With the shovel as evidence, pictures of Fralick’s wounds and Dwiggin’s admittance to hitting her, Brown placed Dwiggins under arrest and was put into the Lincoln County Jail.
Dwiggins filed his $3,000 bond and is scheduled to be back in court for his prepreliminary hearing June 4 at 1:30 p.m.
McDougal charged with unauthorized use of vehicle
Austin McDougal, 18, of Carney was charged with the unauthorized use of a vehicle.
According to the affidavit filed by Lincoln County Sheriff Deputy Allen Brown, Charlotte McDougal had left her residence in the morning to go to the hospital where her husband was having surgery. When she returned home a few hours later, she noticed her recently purchased 2015 Dodge Ram was missing, according to the affidavit.
According to the Affidavit, Austin was there taking care of the dogs while she was gone, however, when she returned, Austin and her keys were missing.
Austin doesn’t have a driver’s license and didn’t have permission to take the vehicle, according to the affidavit.
While on route to Charlotte’s address, Brown received information for Comm. Center stating a vehicle that matched that description had wrecked in Payne County, according to the affidavit.
According to the affidavit, the driver was Austin. Charlotte wanted to press charges against Austin for stealing the vehicle.
Austin had his initial appearance Mar. 23 and is scheduled to be back in court Apr. 2 at 1:30 p.m. for his pre-preliminary hearing.
Clark charged with assault
John Wesley Clark, 47, of Davenport was charged with burglary in the second degree, assault, obstructing an officer and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
According to the affidavit filed by Davenport Police Chief Johnny Jenkins, Jenkins was dispatched to an assault call.
When he arrived in the scene he found Willa Gale Moore in her vehicle who told him there was a man in her daughter’s house who, not only isn’t supposed to be in there, but also forced her out of the house, according to the affidavit.
When Jenkins knocked on the door he heard a woman say “help me” and a man, who would be identified as Clark, was yelling nonsense according to the affidavit.
According to the affidavit, a deputy contacted Mary Brown, the owner of the house, who told the officer that no one was supposed to be in her house.
Clark said he wasn’t going to come out and that the officers would have to go in and get him, according to the affidavit.
Jenkins was able to look into the window and see Clark sharpening what looked like a sword in the kitchen, according to the affidavit.
When the officers breached through the barricaded door, they commanded Clark to put down the pointed steel rod. When Clark started to head for the back door, a deputy deployed his taser.
Clark was taken into custody and booked into Lincoln County Jail.
According to supplemental information provided by District Attorney Allan Grubb, Clark has been convicted assault and battery twice before, once in 2013 and again in 2017.
Clark had his initial appearance Mar. 23 and is scheduled to be back in court Apr. 2 at 1:30 p.m. for his pre-preliminary hearing.
