According to that conversation and a later conversation with Officer Phipps, Brittney said that Darin had returned to their house and climbed into bed with her, initiating physical contact with Brittney, according to the affidavit, and took her phone away, preventing her from calling 911.
According to the affidavit, Brittney said that Darin had a history of violence towards her. She showed photos of injuries from prior assaults.
When Brittney attempted to separate herself by locking herself in another room, first the bathroom and then the bedroom, according to the affidavit, he forced his way into both rooms.
When she tried to get her phone back from him, he resisted and dragged her around by her wrist, before locking himself in his truck and driving off with her phone.
