Firearms charged filed

A Chandler man is facing several firearms-related charges after deputies reportedly responded to multiple gunshots at a rural Lincoln County residence.

Paul Matthew Robledo, 35, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Dec. 28 with one felony and two misdemeanors.

A $7,500 bond was set for Robledo.

His initial appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Jan. 20.

A felony charge of possession of firearm after former felony conviction accuses Robledo of possessing a rifle on Dec. 18 at 890061 S. 3395 Road in Lincoln County after he was previously convicted of a felony in Lincoln County District Court.

Count 2, reckless conduct with a firearm, a misdemeanor charges him with repeatedly shooting a rifle when other people were nearby, creating a situation of unreasonable risk and probability of death or harm to others, demonstrating a conscious disregard for the safety of other people who were present.

The third count, also a misdemeanor, is carrying a firearm while under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

Each of the three charges states the actions occurred on the same date at the same residence.

Supplemental information filed by prosecutors shows that Robledo was convicted on July 7, 2010 in Lincoln County District Court of unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, a felony. A sentence of two years was imposed.

On July 8, 2014 in Lincoln County District Court he was convicted of Count 1, trafficking in illegal drugs, a felony, and given a sentence of 10 years.

On the same date in Lincoln County District Court, Robledo was convicted of Count 1 unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous drug with intent to distribute, a felony; Count 2, knowingly concealing stolen property and Count 3, possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction, a felony and he was handed a 10-year prison sentence.

On July 8, 2014 in Lincoln County District Court, he was convicted of possession of contraband by an inmate and a 10-year sentence was imposed.
