TheStroudSchoolBoard made several personnel decisions at its regular meeting on July 13, among other things.
The Board approved the employment of Jennifer Roberts as a special education co-op transportation driver, Shelley Wear as a high school special education teacher, Bobby Riley as a full-time substitute teacher, Kurstyn Young as the middle school softball fastpitch head coach and D.J. McIntyre as the middle school softball fastpitch assistant coach for the 2026-27 school year.
The Board also authorized Superintendent Joe Van Tyul to negotiate contracts with qualified candidates for a certified teacher fortheSacandFoxJuvenile Detention Center, a teacher aide/paraprofessional for Parkview Elementary, cafeteria staff at Parkview and the high school, and a high school special education teacher aide/paraprofessional. It also approved the contract for a special education director for the next school year.
The Board approved the resignation of Brooklyn Bailey as support personnel.
It also voted to deny the transfer request of Student A, after a discussion conducted during Executive Session.
Other items approved includeaddingLesaElerick as a signatory on the high school activity account and Bridget Hughey as a signatory on the Parkview Elementary activity account. The Board also approved Lynita Hixon as the director of Federal Programs, including all District Consolidated Programs (Title I through Title V-RLIS), Public Law 874 and other related programs for the next school year.
The Board approved activity fundraisers for the 2026-27 school year, Stroud Schools Child Nutrition Bids for the next school year, and the renewal of participation in the Community Eligibility Provision for Child Nutrition Programs.
A sublease agreement between the district and Lincoln County Educational Facilities Authority for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, was also approved, as well as an SRO contract for the 2026-27 academic year.
The Board approved Board Policy FNCD Bullying and a policy on reporting students under the influence of alcohol or of possessing alcoholic beverages or controlled dangerous substances.
