Hearing set in drug case

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Meeker man who was arrested after officers served a search warrant on his residence across from the Town Hall.

A formal felony charge was filed in Lincoln County District Court Sep. 23, 2022 against John Henry Hagar, 34. He is accused of possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with the intent to distribute.

Hagar also is facing a misdemeanor count of possession of CDS.

Special Judge Emily Muller recently scheduled his preliminary hearing for 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 5.

In Count 1, Hagar is accused on Sep. 19 at 515 W. Carl Hubbell Boulevard in Meeker in Lincoln County of possessing a quantity of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

Count 2 charges Hagar on the same date and at the same location of unlawfully possessing a quantity of methamphetamine and a quantity of Fentanyl.

Meeker Assistant Police Chief Scott Wilson said eight Meeker Police officers and one from Prague began serving the search warrant that evening on Sep. 19 as the Meeker Town Board was holding its monthly meeting across the street.
