McLoud City Council members have approved a budget amendment totaling more than $400,000 and they also took no action on several items during a recent meeting.
The budget amendment is to cover income received through several grants. McLoud City Clerk Cynthia Wayman explained those include a REAP grant, an ARPA grant, several fire department grants and insurance recovery money.
“The amendment totals $477,617,” she said, following the meeting. Council members took no action on
Council members took no action on amending the personnel manual. City Manager Buck Day told them, “I’m not ready to do that yet.”
They adopted a resolution dealing with CDBG grant requirements for a sewer project.
The Council also adopted an or dinance and approved its emergency clause.
The fire chief was authorized to go out for a grant for AED’s, a fibulator, it was explained.
Meeting as the Public Works Authority, the members voted to take no action on five agenda items. Day explained to them, “I don’t have bids in yet.”
Legal Counsel Mike Warwick advised them they could call for a special meeting to handle those items.
The items include bids for around 300 feet of sewer line pipe bursting on 8th Street in McLoud; boring under U.S. 270 near Mazzio’s; rerouting the forced main from Mabel Bassett prison into the lift station near SH 102; repairing/replacing a sewer manhole on Hinchley near the lift station; and a budget amendment to cover those costs.
