A pre-preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a man facing six charges, including one felony and five misdemeanors, after Stroud police arrested him during a traffic stop.
Formal charges were filed April 7 in Lincoln County District Court against Daniel Frank Kozlowski, 43, of Bristow.
A $5,000 bond was set for Kozlowski and he made his initial on Apr. 28.
Special Judge Emily Mueller has scheduled his pre preliminary hearing for 10 a.m. on Aug. 5.
The felony filed against him charges Kozlowski of unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute.
He is accused on April 2 of possessing marijuana as a classified Schedule 1 controlled dangerous substance at SH 99 and the Turner Turnpike in Lincoln County with the intent to distribute.
Count 2, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a misdemeanor, charges him on the same day of having methamphetamine, classified as a Schedule II CDS.
In Count 3, also a misdemeanor, he is accused of unlawful possession drug paraphernalia by possessing a meth pipe used by abusers of drugs classified as controlled dangerous substances and without having any medical or other lawful need requiring the paraphernalia.
Count 4 charges Kozlowski with obstructing driver’s view by driving a passenger car on SH 99 and the Turner Turnpike while there was windshield obstruction on the front windshield that obstructed a clear view of SH 99 and the turnpike.
In Count 5, he is accused of operating a vehicle with the license plate covered with the intent to hide the number of the license plate.
The fifth misdemeanor accuses Kozlowski of failure to maintain insurance or security while wrongfully driving and operating the vehicle.
