As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, the American Cancer Society has made a decision to suspend in-person events through the end of June. Therefore Relay For Life of Lincoln County has also decided to cancel the event scheduled for June 26 and the 5K scheduled for June 27.
Organizers feel they have a responsibility to protect the safety of volunteers, cancer survivors, caregivers, and all Relay participants. Plans are being considered to have something to honor survivors in the fall if the pandemic is under control.
Due to the fact that donations are down there will be no survivor or participant t-shirts. Cancer does not stop but funds continue to be needed to fuel the mission.
