Early voting begins today for next Tuesday’s school board elections that include contests in three area school districts.
School patrons in the McLoud, Dale and Perkins-Tryon school districts will decide board races.
In the McLoud school district, which includes voters in Lincoln County, Shelton Mapira and Laureen M. Maxwell are facing one another.
Dale School District voters will decide between incumbent Roger Batt and challenger Jennifer Herring.
In the Perkins-Tryon district, Dustin Bledsoe and Becky Reedy are squaring off against one another.
Early voting in Lincoln County for the McLoud and Perkins-Tryon school elections begins today, March 31, where voters may cast their ballots at the County Election Board located in the courthouse at 811 Manvel Avenue, Suite 15, in Chandler, Election Board Secretary Melissa Stambaugh said.
Voting is available today and Friday, Apr. 1, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., she said.
On Tuesday, Apr. 5, voters must go to their respective precincts to vote. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. that day.
In Pottawatomie County for the Dale and McLoud school board races early voting also begins today, March 31, where voters may cast their ballots at the County Election Board located at 330 N. Broadway in Shawnee, Election Board Secretary Trish Carter said.
Voting is available today and Friday, Apr. 1, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., she said.
On Tuesday, Apr. 5, voters must go to their respective precincts to vote. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. that day.
