Seven more COVID deaths

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Pottawatomie and Lincoln Counties increased only by seven compared to last week, and new positive cases rose only a little more than 100, the most recent Oklahoma State Department of Health figures show.

There were five new deaths attributed to the virus in Pottawatomie County. Two of the deaths occurred in Lincoln County, according to the OSDH.

The OSDH has begun reporting the breakdown of deaths and new cases on a weekly basis rather than daily.

The agency is releasing that information on Wednesdays so the most recent numbers provided here are from Nov. 10 since this week’s edition went to press Tuesday night, Nov 16.

There now have been 195 deaths in Pottawatomie County attributed to COVID-19. Lincoln County has 112 reported deaths.

The number of new positive tests in Pottawatomie County rose by 87 and in Lincoln County they increased by 26, according to figures provided by the OSDH.
