The Oklahoma Broadcast Education Association recently honored University of Central Oklahoma professional media students at its annual student broadcast competition.
Dylan Stieber of Chandler was among the recipients. In the video category, Stieber took third place in both the Entertainment/ Talk division with “The 405” and in Hard News with “Professor Sexual Harassment Allegations.”
In the Newscast division, he and Ashley Jones of Oklahoma City earned second place with “UCentral News.”
In the new media category, Stieber earned third place with his Multimedia Journalism presentation of “Professor Accused of Sexual Harassment.”
Thirteen Oklahoma universities and colleges participated in the OBEA student competition, which generated 204 entries and was judged by media professionals from the Oklahoma City, Tulsa and surrounding regional media markets.
