Chandler School Board members recently voted to hire two new employees and accepted the resignation of another.
School Supt. Melody Toma said Amanda Savig was hired as an Elementary teacher to teach sixth grade.
Toma noted that Renee Smith has been hired a social worker.
The board accepted the resignation of Lisa Barton, Park Road teacher.
The board voted to rescind the approved Treasury report dated June 30, 2021 from the July 12, 2021 board meeting.
And then members approved the corrected Treasury report dated June 30, 2021.
The board approved a contract with the Oklahoma Department of Career-Tech for funding of Ag Education, Business and Information Technology Education and Family and Consumer Sciences for the 2021-2022 school year.
Board members voted to approve the encumbrance for administrators, certified contracts, and support employees who have contracts starting in August of 2021.
Members also agreed to a five-year lease-purchase of the Mitel MiVoice Connect VoIP phone/intercom system with Tamco/Telecomp starting with the current 2021-2022 fiscal year.
A Mentor Teacher Advisory Committee was approved and serving on it will be Trish Lewis, mentor for Alisha Sams and Celeste Spruill mentor for Amanda Savig.
The board approved a Textbook Advisory Committee including Bridget Hughey, Kendra Miller, Misty Cryer, Shelly Mangion, Celeste Spruill, Pam Anderson and Kim Leatherwood.
Board members approved a Medical Exemption Review Committee to consist of Lacy Long, Lisa Almand, Bridget Hughey, Geoff Metheny, Randy Hedge and Cynthia Snider.
A Professional Development Advisory Committee was approved and serving on it are Bridget Hughey, Lisa Almand, Geoff Metheny and Randy Hedge.
Serving on a Federal Programs Advisory Committee that was approved are Toma, Lisa Almand, Bridget Hughey, Kelly Robbins, Jayleen Robertson and Christy Greenfield. Christon Cummings was approved as Title IX coordinator.
A policy was approved for Prohibition of Race and Sex Discrimination in Curriculum and Complaint process.
