To the Editor Whether natural or manmade, we are well into our second year of poor climate conditions for agricultural production necessary for a healthy and strong produce. An example is wheat plants making heads and seeds only a few inches tall. They should be a yard tall by now. Wheat. It is the main ingredient in a loaf of bread and other necessary products. Our USA has a carry over of surplus food commodities for so many years that we take for granted that we can never have a shortage in our kitchen. That word never shows up again. We all know how fine tuned and scientific modern day agriculture has become. However to think that we could never see a food famine here in our USA is wrongful thinking. Food famine such as the potato famine in Ireland can only be prevented and cured by God through Mother Nature. Shortages and food famine can be caused by bad leadership in a country also. That is prevalent most likely in a majority of nations world wide today! Hungry people can be manipulated. Let us not allow food famine to happen in our great country if preventable. Be careful how you vote!
