Donald Arthur Goodnight

Donald Arthur “Chub” Goodnight was born August 11, 1943 in Chandler to Arthur ‘Art’ William and Beulah Emaline (Campion) Goodnight. He passed away February 20, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 77.

He was raised in Davenport, Oklahoma where he graduated from high school in 1961. He spent most of his career working in the oil patch and served in the National Guard for six years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, as well a caring friend. With a good sense of humor and a bit of an ornery streak, he loved to joke and tease.

Chub is preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Treaster, and siblings Joyce Goodnight, Charlotte Fox, Geraldine Leake, and Glen Goodnight. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Patsy Goodnight, granddaughter Amanda Allee, siblings Charles Goodnight and Kay Tipton, and numerous well-loved family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Davenport with interment following in the Carney Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
