Karron Joe “Jody” Combs, age 66, of Wewoka, Okla., died peacefully April 29, 2021 at home with her family.
Karron was born December 4, 1954 at Fort Carson, Colo., to Eddie Carl Vandenburg and Jeannie Vandenburg. In 1971 she married Harold Combs of Mill Valley, Calif. They had two children, Arron Glen Combs and Riley Edward Combs. She taught English in the UK and Hong Kong. She is survived by her husband Harold, son Riley, her Mother, three sisters, one brother, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was an author with two books on Amazon.com under the pen name Jo Calhoun. She was laid to rest in White Dove Cemetery, Sparks, Okla.
