Lisa Jayne Handke-Mileham

Lisa Jayne Handke - Mileham of Chandler, Okla., was born, March 19, 1961 in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Walter and Ruth Ann Caldwell - Carter. The family moved to Chandler in 1970. Lisa attended Chandler High School, where she graduated and met many lifelong friends. She was blessed with her daughter, Jackie Lynn in October 1980. She spent those years after working and taking care of Jackie while making ends meet during the oil boom of the 80’s. That’s when she began working in the banking industry.

In January 1993 she was blessed with her son, Ryan. While she was on maternity leave, she made a comment to the bank president that, “you should put a loan officer in that corner office.” Soon after she was in that office. During those 16 years she had helped countless people buy their homes in Chandler and surrounding areas. When she wasn’t helping dreams come true at the bank she was doing everything she could to make sure her children’s dreams came true. She was either at a stock show, sporting event, rodeo, or FFA Function. She maintained her own cattle ranch from 1997 until the day of her passing. She loved God, her family, hard work, music, and laughter.

Lisa Jayne passed from this life on Thursday May 6, in Oklahoma City after a short, but determined, hard fought battle with cancer. She is dancing in the sky. She is preceded in death by two grandparents Jim and Elizabeth Caldwell, her two step fathers Milton Grappe, and Marvin Carter. She is survived by her mother, Ruth Ann Carter of Chandler, her daughter Jackie Haskell and her husband Russell, and their two children Ryder and Hadlee of Ellis, Kan.; her son Ryan Mileham and Carlee Rae Mileham of Chandler; two sisters, Susan Tice and niece and nephew (Kari and Nathan) Becky Goodnight and husband Carl and two nieces (Denise and Carly).
