Louisa Ann Loper

Louisa Ann Loper passed away at the age of 82, on Thursday, April 1, 2021 surrounded by family at her home in Chandler.

Louisa was born to Gilbert and Dessie (Allen) Meier on May 31, 1938 in Bessie, Okla. Raised in western Oklahoma, she graduated from Burns Flatt High School in 1956. She married Clyde Raymond “Ray” Loper in Bessie on September 30, 1960. They remained in the Chandler area after moving there in 1977.

Louisa was an active member of Carney First Baptist Church. Louisa took great pride in her home and loved to host people there. She tutored for a while at Wellston Schools. She enjoyed being in the garden and was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Louisa is preceded in death her husband and her parents.

She is survived by daughter Sherri Newport and her husband Tom; son Michael Loper; grandchildren Alex and Melissa Newport, Brice and Maegan Newport; and Beth and Lane McPeak; great-grandchildren Beau, Jett, Claire Newport, Ben, Maddie and Caleb Newport, and Eli, Evan, and Ethan McPeak; brothers Monte Meier and wife Patti and Bobby Meier; sister Patricia Rowe and husband Larry; and other family and friends.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at New Zion Cemetery with Pastor Alex Newport and the Rev. Lane Buckley officiating. A Celebration of Life followed at Carney First Baptist Church. Condolences may be offered online at www.parksbrothers.net.
