Toni Frances Walker Riner

Toni Frances Walker Riner was born March 3, 1949, to Tom and Peggy (Masten)Walker. She grew up in Chandler and is a Chandler alumnus, Class of 1967. Toni married Carroll Corley (deceased in 1977), and they had two children, Cheryl and Paul. Toni attended Northwest Texas School of Nursing and graduated in 1972 as an RN, receiving her BS in nursing in 1999. She spent 40 years helping others, starting at Chandler Nursing Homeasacandystriper. She worked in Oklahoma City,Tulsa, Shawnee and at Stroud Hospital, where she passedawayonOctober25, 2025. Toni had Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, and the disease progressed rapidly.

Toni married Frank Riner, her soulmate, in 1979. They loved to travel and visited many countries. Her favorite trip was Ireland, where they rented a car and just roamed the countryside, and kissed the Blarney Stone. It was touching to see them kiss three times when he exited the hospital roomafter holding her hand all day. Frank and Toni had a special love.

Toni loved sharing time with family and friends the most. It would make her eyes twinkle and her smile shine.Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Peggy andTomWalker;auntPatsy Short; and her precious brother, Terry Walker, whom she took very good care of. Toni leaves behind many cousins and friends, her husband Frank Riner, daughter Cheryl Corley Gillespie and husband James Gillespie, son Paul Corley and husband Paul Edwards, and two precious grandkids, Bailey Aiden Gillespie and Brennan Gillespie.

Toni loved to read, and will forever be like her favorite book, Gone with the Wind.

Services to celebrate her life will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Chandler, Oklahoma on November 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. Please RSVP via text 405-258-8877ifyouwould like to join them for lunch. The church has a ramp/ elevator access on the west side for those who need assistance. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
