Betty Lee Grillo, 88, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022, in Cleveland, Okla.
Betty was born September 15, 1933, in Wellston, Okla., to Russell and Nanie (Henson) Duncan. Betty was the youngest of Russell and Nanie’s nine children. She grew up in the Wellston area and attended Wellston schools.
Betty was married to Wilbur Evans for over 20 years. Together they had six children. She was the chief enforcer and rock of the Evans home. She was then married to John Grillo for almost 45 years before he passed away in 2019. She inherited two stepchildren from that union.
After her children were older, Betty worked in the laundry department at Highland Park Manor nursing home in Enid, Okla., for over 40 years.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Grillo; her son, Mike Evans; seven of her siblings; and her first husband, Wilbur Evans.
Those left to cherish her memory are a brother, Lindy Duncan and his wife, Betty; her children, Roger Evans and his wife Delma, Rhonda Robati and her husband Hamid, Les Evans and his wife Kim, Mark Evans and his wife Lisa, and Jay Evans; her stepson, Casey Grillo and his wife Kim, a stepdaughter, Collette Wilson; her grandchildren, Patricia Held, Steven Evans, Mica Evans, Mike Evans, Cheyenne Hector, Jeremy Evans, Summer Franks, Justin Evans, Angela Brooks, Mark Rauch, Matthew Rauch, Danielle Evans, and J.J. Evans; multiple great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other extended family members and friends.
