Jewley Christine Wright passed away on February 25, 2023, at her home in Parkland surrounded by her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
Jewley was born October 31, 1973, in Wichita, Kansas to parents Jimmy and Zelma Watkins. Soon after they would move back to Dewitt, Arkansas to be near family and friends.
Jewley’s parents were baptized when she was 11, and shortly after God began dealing in her heart as well. On March 13th, 1987, at the age of 13 she was baptized at Greers Ferry Lake in Rogers, Arkansas into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.
On April 27, 1991, she married the love of her life, Richard Wright in Cushing Oklahoma. God led them to Heber Springs, Arkansas for a bit, and also to Tuscaloosa, Alabama before being led back home to Parkland to stay.
She was blessed to have 5 beautiful children, though God called Agaytha at age 3, they were able to raise 4.
Jewley is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Agaytha Christine; her father, Jimmy D. Watkins, and father in law Thomas Wright.
She is survived by her husband Richard Wright of Parkland, OK; daughter, Mikka Ward and husband Levi of Sacramento, CA, son Bradley Wright and wife Kimberley of Agra, OK, daughter, Karrey Corter and husband Kyle of Enid, OK, and daughter Autumn Sundquist and husband Nate of Agra, OK; seven grandchildren; her mother, Zelma Watkins of DeWitt, AR; brother Don Watkins and wife Teresa of DeWitt, AR, brother Michael Watkins of AR, sister Amylynn Rodgers of Cushing, OK; mother in law Carolyn Wright of Cushing, OK; and lots of extended other family and brethren she loved.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the Church of the Firstborn in Parkland. Interment will follow at Parkland Cemetery.
