Taking motorcycle racing by storm

Motorcycle racing runs in the family when it comes to the Hasbells of Sparks. Dad Matt started racing as a kid and still races. Today, all three of his children - Hannah, Noah, and Emma - race as well. “And you’ve even raced a couple, too,” Emma said, looking at her mother, Renee.

Deadlines early for next week

The Lincoln County News will print a day early next week to allow for delivery before Thanksgiving. Deadlines for ads, obituaries and news items will be 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17. The paper will go to press Monday night and will be available in racks and stores on Tuesday, Nov. 21.

Hung jury in trial of Chandler man

The trial for a Chandler man on alleged crimes against a child has ended in a hung jury and will be retried in early 2024. A woman who was also charged in the case entered a blind plea earlier this year and is currently doing three lengthy prison sentences.
