McLoud requests audit of records

McLoud City Council members have voted to formally request State Auditor Cindy Byrd conduct an investigative audit of certain city records of the city of McLoud. Their action came during a regular meeting late last week. At the Council’s June meeting, Mayor Daniel McClure, Jr.

72 animals seized at Wellston

Two women from Wellston have been arrested and 72 animals have been rescued as the result of an investigation that began in March of this year. Lincoln County Sheriff Sgt.

Sentences in child neglect

A woman from the Dale area who pleaded guilty in May to two charges of felony child neglect has been handed two prison sentences to run concurrently with one another. Brandy Gin Beal, 44, was originally charged Aug. 6, 2020 in Lincoln County District Court.

Lincoln County commissioners this week were provided an update on a meeting that took place to begin further addressing the Emergency Medical Services crisis in the county.

White Rock school bond election

Voters in the White Rock School District will decide a $280,000 bond issue in a Special election on Aug. 8. “This bond issue is really needed. It will cover the costs for roofs damaged by storms earlier this year that our insurance doesn’t cover,” School Supt. Alicia Ebers said.
