A Stroud man charged Sep. 13 with unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute was arrested and formally charged 13 days later with unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute and with driving with license cancelled/ suspended/ revoked.

Child neglect charges in Stroud

Two people from Stroud face child neglect charges after an infant was found in the back seat of a car in the parking lot of a grocery store. Jack Keith Wofford, 31, and Jessica Shadawn Jordan, 29, were formally charged in Lincoln County District Court Sep. 20 with child neglect.

Two charged in drug theft

A Prague man already facing a manslaughter charge and a Shawnee woman have been charged with larceny of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Joseph Resin Linnhuber, 19, Prague and Kaylee Joe Gaskill, 18, of Shawnee, were formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Sep. 28.

Chandler, NRC bands place

The Chandler High School band, pictured above, won Outstanding Percussion at the Ironhead Invitational Marching Festival in Eufala on Sep. 30, along with placing sixth overall in the finals. They placed first and won Outstanding Color Guard and Percussion for 3A Maroon in the preliminaries.

Stroud man faces pornography charge

A Stroud man who was charged with three felonies in July of this year now faces a felony count of possession of child pornography. Shamus Jack Palermo, 49, was formally charged Sep. 22 in Lincoln County District Court with possession of child pornography.
