A pre-preliminary hearing has been set for a driver in a high speed pursuit that reportedly started in Perkins, went down U.S. 177 clear to I-40 and ended at the Dale Middle School after partially running through a farmer’s wheat field.

A Prague woman facing a harboring from justice charge has waived her preliminary hearing and her arraignment has been scheduled. State prosecutors have dismissed two other felonies filed against her previous to the harboring charge.

Sex abuse suspect on felony docket

A Shawnee man facing more than 40 felony charges of sex-related crimes with minors has pleaded not guilty and his case is set for the felony disposition docket. Danny Ray Weeks, Jr., 52, was originally charged in Pottawatomie County District Court on Dec. 15, 2022 with 34 felony counts.
