I’m thinking the days of going down to one’s favorite store, picking out an appliance and having it delivered the same day may be gone forever.I get it that there have been plenty of changes to buying and spending practices throughout the years, but that doesn’t mean I have to like some of them.

Closet cleaning update

My decision was driven by the results from an online longevity calculator and input from a tiny angel on my right shoulder.I entered my height, weight, age and drinking habits into the calculator. And that I had smoked during a mis-spent few years in my youth, but quit half a century ago.

A look back at the fair

It was good to see more school kids and people out at this year’s Pottawatomie County Free Fair which wound up Saturday evening at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center in Shawnee.Late August and early September each year are the months county fairs are held throughout Oklahoma.
