Big win on Senior Night

The Lions completed a remarkable turn-around to their season Friday, plowing Holdenville 71-18 on Senior Night. The win put the Lions at 6-4 for the season and in third place in the district.

Tigers dominate Mounds, go 10-0

Stroud rolled up 60 points in 18 minutes Friday and polished off Mounds, 60-20, on Senior Night. The win gave the Tigers a perfect 10-0 record, one of only three schools in Class A to win 10 of 10. A fourth, Cashion, went 9-0.

Meeker wins big; OCS comes next

Two things to know about Meeker’s 59-8 win against Henryetta Friday night. 1. The Bulldogs scored three touchdowns on their first six snaps, effectively sealing the win with seven minutes gone in the game. 2. It clinched them a home game for the first round of the playoffs.

Davenport thrashes Yale, 48-0

The Davenport Bulldogs are making a habit of 48-0. For the third time in four weeks, they picked that as their winning score and pinned it on Yale’s version of the Bulldogs. The win wrapped up an 8-2 regular season for Davenport.

Meeker thumps Prague, wins trophy

Friday was a big night for the Meeker Bulldogs. They beat ancient rival Prague for the second year in a row, clinched a home game for the first round of the playoffs and got to take home the newly minted trophy that will go each year to the winner of the Meeker-Prague game.

Stroud dominated Allen, 50-0, Friday, to win the District A-7 championship and move within a Senior Night win of finishing an unbeaten regular season. Now 9-0, the Tigers host Mounds Friday night in the final regular-season home game for this year’s seniors.
