Four members of a motorcycle club charged in connection with the murder of a former Midwest City Marine killed last September have made court appearances.
The State Attorney General’s Office last week filed first degree murder charges against Steven Roberts, 55, and Virgil Earl Nelson, 67.
Larry Wayne Ramirez, 51, and Conner Buntz, 33, are each charged with accessory after the fact to first degree murder.
The four are accused in connection with the death of Daniel Aaron, 33, who reportedly was shot to death as he drove his motorcycle on U.S. 62 in Lincoln County near Harrah last September 12.
Nelson made his initial appearance on Dec. 27 and a further initial appearance on Dec. 29 before Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk. She set the matter for a pre-preliminary hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 20.
Roberts made his initial appearance on Dec. 27 before Judge Kirk. She scheduled the matter for 1 p.m. Jan. 3.
On Monday of this week, Roberts’ initial appearance was completed and Judge Kirk scheduled a bond hearing for 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 12.
Buntz made his initial appearance before Judge Kirk on Dec. 27. She set a bond hearing for Buntz on Dec. 29. His attorney filed a demurrer to the information and a motion to dismiss was also filed.
On Dec. 29, Judge Kirk continued the bond hearing and motion hearing until 3:30 p.m. Jan. 6.
Ramirez made his initial appearance also on Dec. 27 before Judge Kirk and she continued the appearance for Dec. 29. On that date, Judge Kirk continued the matter for 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 20.
