Chandler City Council awards contracts for Imel, Reed Parks

The City of Chandler is jumpstarting plans to spruce up Imel and Reed Parks.The City Council voted in their monthly meeting on March 11 to award contracts to two companies for the projects; however, these plans have been in the works for about a year or so.They approved a $427,860.

A Prague man facing 12 counts of child sexual abuse following his arrest by area law enforcement authorities has entered a guilty plea to each of the 12 charges and his sentencing has been scheduled.Formal charges were filed in Lincoln County District against Riley Draper, 35.

Chandler’s first trip to the state tournament in 20 years ended with a thrilling but frustrating 5956 loss to Sequoyah-Claremore Thursday.The Lions fell behind early in the first half, but came back to lead at halftime and held an 8-point lead in the third quarter.
