Wallace “Bud” Buster McClellan Jr., of Prague, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 87.Bud was a member of the Sac and Fox Nation Thunder Clan, for which he served as leader for several years.Bud’s Indian Name was Ma Ka Ta Mi She Ka Kak, which means “Black Hawk.

Meeker Board of Education members during their most recent meeting offered the superintendent a new contract and also accepted the retirement of one and the resignation of another.Following an executive session, the board members returned to open meeting and voted to rehire School Supt.

Sparks man sentenced on felonies

A Sparks man who earlier pleaded no contest to four counts has been sentenced.Formal felony charges were filed May 4, 2022 in Lincoln County District Court against James Leonard Smothers, then 41, following his arrest by Lincoln County deputies.He pleaded no contest in November to the court counts.
