Hearing in assault on officer

A preliminary hearing has been set for a Cushing man facing charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon or in the Alternative Count 2 endangering others while eluding/attempting to elude a police officer.Formal felony charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court Sep.

Deferred sentences for Norman man

A Norman man facing two charges has pleaded guilty to both and received deferred prison sentences.David Ade, 57 at the time, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court Oct.

Prague man pleads in assault case

A Prague man who waived his preliminary hearing on a charge of felony assault and battery charge following a reported altercation with his girl friend has entered an innocent plea.

Stroud manhandled Salina, 56-21, Friday night and heads to Noble Friday for a Class 2A-II state semifinal match with Davis.Stroud led, 14-0, after the first period and then removed all suspense from the game with four secondquarter touchdowns.The Friday game kicks off at 1 p.m.

New election board secretary

Lincoln County has a new Election Board Secretary and staffer and they will assume their new duties effective Dec. 1.Dena Jo Bromley will take office on Dec. 1.The State Election Board also announced that Julie Alsip has joined the election board staff.
