A Lincoln County woman was among 14 students in the Wisdom Family Foundation Doctoral Program for Rural Nursing Practice at Northwestern Oklahoma State University to complete residency week at theAlva campus, according to a press release from the university.Bayley Adams of Stroud completed the week.

Davenport School Board

The Davenport School Board passed raises in cafeteria prices, the state minimum teacher salary schedule and reapproved the superintendent’s contract at its regular meeting on July 13.Cafeteria prices were set at $2.00 for adult breakfast, $3.00 for adult lunch, $.50 for milk and $1.

Early voting begins Aug. 20

Bench warrant issued for man charged with embezzlement

A bench warrant with a $25,000 bond was issued for Justin Wesley Walker on July 29 for embezzlement.According to court documents, DistrictAttorneyAdam Panter filed one felony count of embezzlement against Walker, 46, for allegedly fraudulently appropriating $111,153.39 from Bret and Lynne Carlson.
