McLoud couple celebrates U.S. 250th

Those in or around the McLoud area might have noticed a patriotic addition to the town. Resident Gary Hodde spent 35 hours and 85 gallons of paint to create a giant American flag in his yard.“We are very much patriotic.

Prague school board approves new staff

The Prague School Board approved several personnel decisions at its regular meeting on Monday, May 11, while Superintendent Kimberly Fleak reported that the new high school construction is three months ahead of schedule.

SNHU Dean’s List

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) has released its Dean’s and President’s Lists for the Spring 2026 semester.To make the Dean’s List, students must have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.699 for the semester and be enrolled in at least 12 credits over the term.

UCO 2026 Spring Grads

The University of Central Oklahoma commencement ceremonies took place on May 8 through 9 at Central’s Hamilton Field House. Among the nearly 1,399 graduates for Spring 2026 are several from the Lincoln County area.

CVEC sponsors 2 at Energy Camp

Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) is sponsoring two students from Prague to attend Energy Camp this summer.Ethan Ziegler and Hank Shelbourne were selected to attend Energy Camp at Camp Canyon in Hinton from May 26 to 28.
