Judge should resign

Embattled Lincoln County District Judge Traci Soderstrom should do what is right and immediately resign from her position. Last week following an extensive investigation by the Oklahoma Council of Judicial Complaints, the State Supreme Court filed a petition seeking Soderstrom’s removal.

Stroud man pleads in child neglect case

One of two people from Stroud facing child neglect charges has pleaded guilty as the result of a plea bargain and drawn a 10-year sentence with all but the first 90 days suspended. The other has waived further hearings in the case.

Lincoln County District Judge Traci Soderstrom, who currently is suspended from her position after the State Supreme Court filed a petition last week seeking her removal from office, showed gross partiality, according to the petition.
