Five Chandler High School cheerleaders and the mascot brought home All-American honors from the Universal Cheer Association national competition last week in Norman. From left are Mia Phipps, Makayela Dawkins, Emi McGuire, Macie Davis, Royanna Berry and Leo the Lion, aka Ashlee Beatty. Leo won spirit sticks, was named the outstanding mascot for the camp and won best routine and the Unicorn award. For more, see Page 5A.

Olen Murriel ‘Jack’ Robinson was born June 3, 1931. He was 1 of 8 children born to Clara and George Robinson of Sparks, Oklahoma. He was drafted and sent to Korea where he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the war.
