David Wayne Burrows was born March 29, 1959, to Elva Burrows and Joyce Irene (Van Dusen) Burrows. He passed away April 11, 2023 in Tulsa at the age of 64. David grew up in Oklahoma City and Davenport, got married in 1978 and had four children before divorcing.

Alvin was born June 5, 1941 in Elcampo, Texas to Arnold Skow and Minnie Olsen. Alvin Matt Skow, Sr. died on April 13, 2023. He was an OTR truck Driver for over 56 years. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Minnie (Olson) Skow; brother, Roy Skow; and sister, Delores Ritter.

Chandler Public Schools recently announced that their April Lions of the Month are Gabbie Dawson and Blake Rickner. Dawson is the daughter of Amanda Williams. After graduating from high school she plans on attending college to get her bachelors degree in nursing.

Weber re-elected Meeker mayor

Meeker Town Board members this week reelected their mayor and chose a new vice mayor and members were appointed over departments. Mayor Donna Weber was re-elected by the board to serve as mayor and Trustee Mike Orman was elected vice mayor.

Hearing waived

A motorist who was exiting the Turner Turnpike and was arrested and charged after he was stopped by an Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper on drug related charges has waived his preliminary hearing. Gregory Johnson, 23, with no address listed, was formally charged Jan.

A McLoud High School teacher facing three felonies after she was arrested on charges for allegedly soliciting sex with minors by use of technology has been scheduled for the pre-preliminary hearing docket.
