Dogs maul runner on county road

A Lincoln County man, who was critically injured recently when a group of dogs attacked him while he was out for a run, is now recovering in an Oklahoma City hospital. Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff Christopher Hyde identified the injured man as Robert Rood.

Zebra mussles enter area

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation has reported the discovery of invasive zebra mussels in Shawnee Twin Lakes for the first time. The agency also has confirmed it has found the zebra mussels in 24 different bodies of water in Oklahoma.

Hearing set in marijuana bust

A pre-preliminary hearing has been scheduled for the owner of two Lincoln County marijuana growing operations after his facilities were seized and shut down in February. A formal charge was filed Feb.

Lincoln County commissioners meeting

Lincoln County commissioners this week adopted a resolution authorizing and designating American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds as revenue replacement. The county is projected to receive about $6.7 million in ARPA funds.
