Guilty plea entered in DUI

A Chandler man who was facing a felony count of driving under the influence of alcohol waived his preliminary hearing and during his scheduled arraignment changed his plea to guilty. Daniel James Walker, 27, was formally charged last Nov. 3 in Lincoln County District Court.

Chandler High School vocal music honored

On Monday, April 11th, the Chandler School Board recognized the Vocal Music Department and many of its students for multiple groups and individual accomplishments listed below. The School Board gave the students a standing ovation once all of their accomplishments had been listed.

Car Show at Kolache Festival

A Car, Truck & Bike Show will be held during the Prague Kolache Festival, Saturday, May 7, at the City Park at Park Pavilion #3 located at 13 th St. and Whitmore. Registration is 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for $30 on the day of the show. Early entry registration is $25 by emailing PragueCarShow@ gmail.

PRAGUE KOLACHE FESTIVAL NEWS

Talent Contest The Prague Kolache Festival Local Talent Audition was held last month at the Prague Auditorium. Ten participants competed for a chance at three spots to perform at the grandstand during the festival on Saturday, May 7.

Prague Alumni making plans

Tickets are available for the Prague High School Alumni Banquet scheduled for 6 p.m., Saturday, May 14, at the Prague Community Center. Tickets are $20 each and are sold at Vision Bank and BancFirst in Prague.

Student’s art wins top honor

Art students from Prague had projects accepted into the Mabee-Gerrer Museum’s Second Annual High School Juried Art Show held in March. Ashley Davis received Best of Show and was awarded $100. Earning Honorable Mention ribbons were Harley Frey, Madison Dowdy, Ashley Davis, Abby McCoy and Adam Marsh.

Meeker approves OG&E franchise

The Meeker Town Board of Trustees this week adopted a resolution calling for an election granting a franchise to Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co. for 25 years.

Bench warrants issued in 2015 case

Multiple charges alleging sex crimes have been filed against two persons and one of the defendants has made his initial appearance. Bench warrants of $100,000 each had been issued for the arrest of the two. The bench warrants were issued the same day the charges were filed.
