When I accepted my internship at The Lincoln County News, I didn’t really know what to expect. I had only ever been to Chandler for a middle school basketball tournament, where my very important 20 points per game surely left a lasting impact. No biggie.

Chandler high school student Marley Miller won the breakaway roping and 15-and-under barrel racing Friday night at the Chandler Open Rodeo, highlighting a twonight run that included 346 contestants and $16,915 in prize money.Miller stopped the clock at 2.
