Agra man hurt in crash

An Agra man was injured over the weekend in a onevehicle collision north of Agra. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Caleb Scott identified the injured man as Dillon Ray Potter, 19.

Town Talk is spending these winter days planning for warmer days ahead. Our two main goals at the present time are putting a bugle boy statue in Ed. Smalley Centennial Park and having a Route 66 themed miniature golf course on Main Street. The golf course will use prefabricated holes.

PCJLS auction and pig roast

Despite COVID-19, the Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Trophy Auction and Pig Roast will go on again this year. It will be the same time it always is held, the first Monday of February, but it’s location has changed. It’s scheduled for Monday, Feb.

Happenings at Prairie Pointe

The Prairie Pointe family is happy to welcome another new member – James Green. James was born in Kemp, Ok and graduated from Cushing High School with the class of 1945. He joined the U.S. Army and served two years in Germany during WWII.

Charges filed for Bryant

A Stroud man faces 11 charges and authorities are looking for him after a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. Kevin Michael Bryant, 39, has been charged in Lincoln County District Court with three felonies and eight misdemeanor counts. The charges were filed last week on Jan.

Central District Livestock

The Central Area Livestock Show kicks off Thursday, Jan. 28, at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center in Shawnee and 4-H and FFA exhibitors from the Ag-Ed Central Area will compete. Jeremy Frye, coordinator of the show, said it runs through Saturday, Jan. 30.

Filing starts for city offices

Candidates for municipal office in 10 Lincoln County municipalities can file Declarations of Candidacy beginning 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1. Melissa Stambaugh, Secretary of the County Election Board, said the filing period ends at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 3.
