34 nursing home residents tested positive for COVID-19

34 residents at the Chandler Therapy and Living Center tested positive for COVID-19 with some tests results still pending, according to Lincoln County Emergency Management Director Wendi Marcy.

During the Lincoln County Commissioners meeting Tuesday, Marcy said there had been a major jump in COVID-19 cases within the last 48 hours.

Marcy said an additional 20 tests were positive that were not related to the Chandler Therapy and Living Center

As of Tuesday, Aug. 18, the number of COVID-19 cases in Lincoln County stands at 250, with 155 recovered.

In Chandler, the number of COVID-19 cases stand at 84, with 31 recovered.

Other actions made by the commissioners include:

Approval of the minutes for the Aug. 3 commissioners meeting.

Approval of the change orders for the electric project at the fairgrounds.

Approval of an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with Circuit Engineering District No. 4.

Approval of the monthly reports.

Approval of Cash Fund Estimates of Needs.

Approval of Blanket Purchase Orders.

Approval of Payroll Claims. Approval of Road Crossings.

Approval of Road Crossings.
