With the sun setting earlier and the temperatures dropping, the holiday season has arrived.
Throughout Lincoln County there are seasonal events for the family to enjoy.
The Chandler Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Chandler Christmas Tree Lighting Friday, Dec. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln County Courthouse.
The Holiday Market at the Museum of Pioneer History will take place from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
The Chandler Chamber of Commerce’s annual Christmas Parade will start Saturday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. travelling south down Manvel Avenue. The theme for this year’s parade is “Christmas in a Snow Globe.”
Money will be awarded to the first, second and third best floats.
The Stroud Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their annual Christmas Parade Saturday, Dec. 5 at 6:00 p.m.
The Stroud Chamber and Junior Chamber of Commerce will be providing homemade cookies and hot chocolate at 5:30 at the Route 66 Pavilion. The theme of this years parade is “A very Groovy Christmas.”
Its a full day of festivities in Meeker with Haggle Days starting at 10 a.m. on S. Fowler St.
Meeker Growth and Development will be sponsoring the “Cookies and Storytime with Santa and Mrs. Claus” in front of City Hall at 4 p.m.
At 6 p.m. the “Festival of Lights” parade will begin, starting from the high school and traveling west to Scott Street. The Tree Lighting will follow shortly after at 6:30 p.m. at Meeker City Hall.
