Fee hike at Meeker Lake

The Meeker Town Board has approved an ordinance amending the lake fees at the Meeker Lake.

The board also approved the emergency clause putting the new fees and permits into place on Feb. 1 of this year.

Board members took the action during their meeting last week.

The new fees and permits relate to fishing, jet skis, camping and equestrian. Hunting is not allowed at the Meeker Lake.

Violation of any of the fees and permits is a fine of $159.
