First Baptist Churches in Chandler and Prague will serve as collection sites for shoebox gifts contributed to the Samaritan’s Purse project, Operation Christmas Child. During the project’s National Collection Week, Nov. 16-23, the shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies and hygiene items will be collected and forwarded on to children living in poverty overseas.
To comply with COVID-19 restrictions, curbside drop-off is available. The church in Chandler is at 912 W. First Street; phone (405) 258-0175. The Prague location is 1520 Blue Bell Road; phone (405) 567-4978. Boxes can be dropped off 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday; 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday; 2-4 p.m., Sunday; and 9-11 a.m., Monday. Boxes can also be ordered online at SamaritansPurse.org.
