McLoud filing period

The filing period for three seats on the McLoud City Council opens at 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, running through 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Pottawatomie County Election Board Secretary Jeannie Stover said candidates may file between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on those three days at the County Election Board office located at 14101 Acme Road in Shawnee.

Stover said the three offices on the McLoud City Council are Wards 3, 4 and the at-large position. Each office is a four-year term ending in 2025.

Currently holding those offices are Ward 3, Daniel McClure Jr.; Ward 4, Steven Tomaszweski; and at-large, James Woods.

Stover said the nonpartisan election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 6, this year.
