Meeker approves stipends

The Meeker Board of Education during its most recent meeting voted approval of a one-time stipend for all full time personnel, excluding the superintendent.

School Supt. Jeff Pruitt explained, “The Board of Education recognizes the importance of recruiting and retaining employees during the 2021-2022 school year. Due to continued efforts of staff at all levels the district was able to provide a full program of in-person and virtual learning to students and families.”

The stipend is $1,100 for all full time personnel, he said.

Pruitt also noted the recommendation to the board was what he described “as recognition of the risk to the personal health and the exceptional work to prioritize needs of students performed by all employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

In other business, the board agreed to renew OKTLE for Teacher Observation and Evaluation for the 2022-2023 school year.

Board members also approved the calendar for the 2022-2023 school year.

And they approved renewal of the contract with Municipal Accounting Systems for the 2022-2023 school year.
