Lincoln County Commissioners in a meeting late last week took no action regarding salary increases for county officers.
After hearing a representative from District Attorney Allan Grubb’s office provide information on various options for the increases, Commission Chairman Lee Doolen suggested having that sent to commissioners.
Doolen said that would give them time to review the information and they could make a decision in January.
Commissioners accepted REAP grant awards for District 1, Merrick Fire Department, Northeast Lincoln Fire Department and Sparks Fire Department.
The grants for each of the fire departments is $25,000.
Paul Simpson, with the Central Oklahoma Economic Development District, said two of the grants are for a ton and a quarter F-450 cab and chassis and the other is for a one ton F-350 cab and chassis.
He said the grant for District 1 is for a chip and seal road project.
The commissioners approved creation of a County website hosted by KellPro. A KellPro representative explained cost is $5,000 for one full fiscal year. That includes $2,000 to get started, she said, and $3,000 that will be prorated.
“The annual fee is $3,000 to maintain support,” she advised the commissioners.
Doolen asked, “Can the county use our own domain name”? She replied, “yes.”
A bid by Midwest Printing was approved for digital ballots.
Six-month bids for rock, lumber and other related items were also approved.
The commissioners adopted a resolution to properly disburse CARES Act reimbursements.
They took no action on accepting a quote from Apprentice for the annex security camera.
Following an executive session, they returned to open session and first approved the job description for the Lincoln County Courthouse Facilities manager.
Next, they agreed to the employment of Virgil Wilson as Courthouse Facilities manager at a salary of $3,500 a month.
In other business:
Commissioners accepted a donation from Centerpoint for District 3.
They approved an agreement with Edge Mapping for a new mapping system in the County Assessor’s Office.
Voted to authorize Apprentice to set up a new e-mail for District 2 Commissioner-Elect Marlon Miller and activate the account after Miller is sworn into office.
They agreed to approve a letter expressing interest in participation of the State Purchase Card Program through Oklahoma Management of Enterprise Services.
They approved a Division Order with Dorado Oil Co.
Commissioners decided to have a resolution drawn to set up a policy not allowing name impressions on the Courthouse Walkway bricks.
