The Lincoln County News, Tri-County Herald and Stroud American will publish a Salute to Veterans in the edition of Nov. 12.
The salute will include photos and each veteran’s name, rank and years of service.
This is for all veterans, regardless of the era in which they served.
There is no cost to include a veteran.
There are three ways to submit photos:
1. Bring a photo to our office at 718 Manvel Ave. in Chandler.
We’ll scan it and give it back to you, in most cases.
If it’s a deadline day and we’re swamped, we may need to hold on to it for a couple of days.
Photos can be black and white or color.
If they’re framed, we’ll ask you to take them out of the frame for scanning because we don’t want to risk damaging a family heirloom that can’t be replaced.
2. Mail the photo to us at Box 248, Chandler, Ok. 74834.
Pack the photo securely between slices of cardboard and include the veteran’s name, branch of service and years served.
We’ll scan the photo and hold it for you to pick up.
3. Email a digital version of the photo to us at brian@tricountyherald.com.
If you scan the photo, choose 300 dpi for the resolution.
Phones typically have a resolution that is too low for printing, so we are unable to use photos from them.
The deadline to submit photos is 5 p.m. Nov. 4, but the earlier you submit them, the better.
