Veterans Day

This week, we honor the men and women who have served our nation in uniform. Veterans like brothers Arvel and Glen Winter, both of Meeker. Arvel, age 96, served in World War II as a sergeant in the 41st Infantry Brigade and later retired as a Senior Master Sergeant in the Air Force. Glen, 94, served in World War II as a corporal in the Americal Division and Anti-Tank Infantry and the 11th Airborne, Anti-Tank Company, 187th Glider Infantry.

We salute your courage and thank you for your service.
