In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain has moved online this year with celebrity guest artists and private instructors. Running June 14-19, OSAI at Home offered students group instruction, one-onone feedback and coaching, guest artist lectures, and activities aimed at collaboration and networking.

Two Chandler students, Tate Radcliffe and Glennon Selke, experienced the “Quartz Mountain Magic” in 2019 and attended OSAI at Home this June. They were selected to the Chorus program through a competitive statewide audition process, and—like all accepted students—received a full scholarship.

Instructors for the summer included Allen Tinkham, Music Director of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras, acting instructor Daniel Spector of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and Sasha Pimentel, an award-winning poet who teaches creative writing at the University of Texas.
